KATHMANDU: The Office of the Controller of Examinations under the National Examination Board has said preparations are underway to publish the Grade 10 Secondary Education Examination (SEE) results by mid-May.

Examination Controller Tuka Raj Adhikari stated that the publication timeline has been set for mid-May as answer sheets—already checked at the exam centers—still need to undergo verification.

“The verification process is currently ongoing, and the results will be published by May 15 or even a day earlier,” he said.

Citing concerns over prolonged delays causing mental stress among students, Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Sasmit Pokharel, had on April 1 directed officials to publish the results within a month.

Following discussions with all 77 Education Development and Coordination Units, the ministry concluded that results could be released within a month.

In line with the minister’s directive, answer sheets began to be checked directly at examination centers immediately after the exams, aiming for faster publication compared to previous years.

According to Adhikari, all answer sheets have now been checked, and only the verification process remains.

In previous years, answer sheets were transported across provinces for checking, and results were typically published three months after the exams concluded.

The SEE examinations for the academic year 2025 (both regular and grade improvement) were conducted from April 2 to April 12, 2026.

Approximately 509,000 students participated nationwide, with 1,961 examination centers designated for the tests.
