BHAIRAHAWA: Nineteen Nepali citizens have been arrested while gambling at a casino in Siddharthanagar, Rupandehi.

A joint team from the Lumbini Province Police Office and the District Police Office, Rupandehi, raided the Royal Kalinga Casino operated inside Hotel Gautam Buddha International in Siddharthanagar Municipality–10 last night and took them into custody.

According to Rupandehi District Police Office , those arrested include four individuals involved in casino management and 15 gamblers. They were detained during an operation conducted based on specific intelligence.

The arrested individuals are from various districts as well as the Rupandehi area. Police said Rs 95,500 in cash, 17 mobile phones, and 50 casino coins were recovered from the scene.
