Health Minister Mehta, Indian Ambassador Srivastava discuss strengthening bilateral health cooperation

KATHMANDU: Health and Population Minister Nisha Mehta and Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava held a meeting on Tuesday, focusing on bilateral cooperation in the health sector.

According to the Ministry, the two sides discussed the long-standing and close relations between Nepal and India and reviewed various aspects of ongoing collaboration in health, water supply, and sanitation.

During the meeting, Ambassador Srivastava extended best wishes to Minister Mehta for her successful tenure.

Minister Mehta expressed gratitude for India’s continued support in Nepal’s health, drinking water, and sanitation sectors.

Both sides also held positive discussions on strengthening national-level health science institutions, developing specialized treatment centres, and expanding health infrastructure cooperation in the coming days.
