KATHMANDU: Scotland were dismissed for 194 runs in 39.1 overs against Scotland national cricket team in the ongoing ODI match, after Nepal national cricket team produced a disciplined and wicket-rich bowling performance.
After electing to bat first, Scotland got a strong middle-order boost from Brandon McMullen, who smashed 73 off 44 balls with six sixes, while Michael English contributed a steady 51 off 72 deliveries. However, their innings collapsed from 179 runs at the loss of seven wickets to all out in 194 runs, losing their last three wickets in quick succession.
Nepal’s bowling attack was led by left-arm spinner Lalit Rajbanshi, who picked up 4 wickets for 32 runs, while leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane claimed 3 for 47.
Nandan Yadav also chipped in with 1 for 17, alongside wickets from Sompal Kami and Dipendra Singh Airee.
Nepal now need 195 runs for victory with their chase yet to begin.
