BAGLUNG: The Chief Minister of Gandaki Province Surendra Raj Pandey has said that the provincial government has made major progress in physical infrastructure development.

Speaking at a program organized by Baglung Municipality today to mark the completion of four years of elected local representatives, CM Pandey claimed that around 90 percent of infrastructure development work in the province was carried out through the provincial government.

He said that although many important projects have been completed, the government has not been able to properly inform the public about its achievements. According to him, this has created a public feeling that “nothing has been done.”

Chief Minister Pandey said elected representatives now need to clearly explain their work to the people and help turn public disappointment into hope.

He stated that since the implementation of federalism, the provincial government has carried out many development and construction projects. However, the lack of communication about those achievements allowed negative perceptions to grow among the public.

He also said the provincial government is working to meet people’s needs despite limited resources. According to him, plans and programs are being implemented from the grassroots level to improve access to health, education, and electricity.

Pandey added that the government is also working in areas such as transportation, drinking water, and the “Ujyalo Gandaki” program so that people can directly benefit from development activities.
