KATHMANDU: Police have taken one individual into custody from the Tribhuvan International Airport along with 37 passports.
According to Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar Silwal, Spokesperson for the Tribhuvan International Airport Security Office, the detained individual has been identified as 38-year-old Ajit Shrestha, a resident of Dhangadhimai Municipality-13, Siraha.
The police made Shrestha public today.
He said, “Shrestha, who was about to travel from Kathmandu to Delhi, India, today via a Nepal Airlines flight, was taken into custody from Tribhuvan International Airport while attempting to transport 37 units of Nepali passports to get Romanian visas stamped on them, without possessing any official authorization or letter.”
Spokesperson Silwal further informed that Shrestha has been sent to the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office in Teku for necessary legal action.
