KATHMANDU: Continuous heavy rainfall and natural disasters have severely disrupted traffic across various road networks in Nepal.
According to the Nepal Police, landslides and high risks have completely halted vehicular movement on the Karnali Corridor in Kalikot, the Mid-Hill Highway at Bimirebhanjyang in Lamjung, and the Hilsa-Simkot road section in Humla.
Additionally, authorities have suspended traffic along the Khurkot-Nepalthok-Katunjebesi section of the BP Highway due to potential flood hazards.
While these primary routes remain closed, emergency workers have managed to clear enough debris to allow temporary, one-way traffic on the Koshi Highway in Sankhuwasabha, the Mid-Hill Highway in Bhojpur, and the Beni-Jomsom road section in Myagdi.
