HETAUDA: The Bagmati Province Government has announced a three-day lineup of events to commemorate Republic Day 2026 from May 27 to 29.

The decision was made during a meeting led by Chief Minister Indra Bahadur Baniya, who will also head the main organizing committee formed for the celebrations.

As part of the program, schools across the province will host an essay competition on May 27. Community-focused activities including blood donation campaigns, free health services, and tree plantation drives are scheduled for May 28.

The Republic Day celebrations will wrap up on May 29 with a special official function at the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers.
