KATHMANDU: The Shram Sanskriti Party has directed all its subordinate committees to mandatorily include the photograph of Party Chairman Harka Sampang on all event banners and promotional materials.
A letter issued by the party’s No. 1 (Koshi) Province Executive Committee specifies that Chairman Sampang’s photo must be included in all programs organized at the district, metropolitan, sub-metropolitan, municipal, ward, and toll (neighborhood) levels.
The joint statement, signed by Province Committee Chairman Pratap Rai and Secretary Deepak Timilsina, instructs that the picture of “Revered Labour Father Chair Harka Sampang” must be used without fail on all event banners and publicity materials.
The directive issued on Monday mirrors a publicity style previously adopted by CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, establishing Chairman Sampang as the central figure of the party’s branding.
Historically, the CPN-UML had issued a similar directive to its party committees, making Chairman Oli’s photograph mandatory for all promotional materials and event banners.
Previously, the CPN-UML Secretariat decided that no photographs other than that of Party Chairman Oli would be used in public programs. At the time, the then-Deputy General Secretary Bishnu Rimal had informed leaders and cadres via social media regarding the party’s official circular on photo usage, seating arrangements, and stage management.
