KATHMANDU: The government has announced plans to sign labor agreements with additional countries and launch an “Investment Express” system to attract foreign investment and simplify business procedures.

Presenting the federal budget, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle said Nepali workers heading abroad will be required to undergo skill-based training to improve safety and employment opportunities.

The government also pledged to operationalize a unified single-window system within three months, integrating company registration, tax, labor, and visa services under one platform.

In addition, projects approved by the Investment Board Nepal will no longer need separate approvals from other government agencies.
