KATHMANDU: Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal has stated that laws should be formulated in a manner that brings happiness to the citizens and prosperity to the nation.

Speaking at a program organized in Kathmandu today, Speaker Aryal noted that discussions regarding constitutional amendment have already commenced.

Against this backdrop, he emphasized the need to draft legislation that ensures citizen satisfaction and national prosperity.

He stressed that while supporting the executive branch under the government led by Prime Minister Balendra Shah, necessary recommendations should also be provided to the legislature for the lawmaking process.

He further asserted that corruption must be eradicated to establish good governance in the country.

He expressed the view that those who enter leadership roles through politics must improve the nation and hand it over responsibly to future generations.

Furthermore, Speaker Aryal stated that the private sector should be incentivized to create employment opportunities within the country, thereby encouraging migrated Nepalese citizens to return home.
