KATHMANDU: The meeting of the National Assembly has commenced. The parliament is meeting today after the budget for the upcoming fiscal year was presented in a joint session of both houses on Friday.

In today’s meeting of the National Assembly, Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs, Balendra Shah, is scheduled to present a proposal requesting that the ‘House of Representatives Member Election (First Amendment) Bill, 2026’, received with a message from the House of Representatives, be discussed clause-by-clause in the house.

Similarly, Prime Minister Shah is scheduled to table a proposal requesting the passage of the ‘House of Representatives Member Election (First Amendment) Bill, 2026’, received with a message from the House of Representatives.

He is also on the agenda to present a proposal requesting a clause-by-clause discussion on the ‘Voter List (First Amendment) Bill, 2026’, received with a message from the House of Representatives.

Furthermore, today’s agenda includes presenting a proposal requesting the passage of the ‘Voter List (First Amendment) Bill, 2026’, which was received with a message from the House of Representatives.
