NRB sets foreign exchange rates for Monday

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced the foreign exchange rates for Monday, setting the buying rate of one US dollar at Rs 151.71 and the selling rate at Rs 152.31. According to the central bank, the euro is being traded at Rs 176.89 for buying and Rs 177.59 for selling, while the UK pound sterling has been fixed at Rs 204.21 and Rs 205.02 respectively. The Swiss franc stands at Rs 194.21 for buying and Rs 194.98 for selling.

Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar has been valued at Rs 108.98 for buying and Rs 109.41 for selling, the Canadian dollar at Rs 109.97 and Rs 110.40, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 118.83 and Rs 119.30. The exchange rates for Asian and Gulf currencies include Rs 9.53 and Rs 9.56 for 10 Japanese yen, Rs 22.42 and Rs 22.51 for one Chinese yuan, Rs 40.43 and Rs 40.59 for one Saudi Arabian riyal, and Rs 41.66 and Rs 41.82 for one Qatari riyal.

The central bank has also fixed the Thai baht at Rs 4.67 for buying and Rs 4.69 for selling, the UAE dirham at Rs 41.30 and Rs 41.47, and the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 38.26 and Rs 38.41. Likewise, 100 South Korean won has been valued at Rs 10.06 and Rs 10.10, while the Swedish krona and Danish krone have been set at Rs 16.41 and Rs 16.48, and Rs 23.67 and Rs 23.76 respectively.

Similarly, the Hong Kong dollar has been fixed at Rs 19.36 for buying and Rs 19.43 for selling, the Kuwaiti dinar at Rs 494.65 and Rs 496.61, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 402.39 and Rs 403.98, and the Omani riyal at Rs 394.05 and Rs 395.61. The exchange rate for Indian currency has been set at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling per INR 100. The NRB stated that the exchange rates may be revised at any time as needed, while rates offered by commercial banks may vary. Updated exchange rates are available on the central bank’s website.
