WASHINGTON DC: The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) conducted “self-defence” strikes on Iran’s Qeshm Island, defeating multiple Iranian missiles and drones after civilian vessels and regional allies Kuwait and Bahrain came under attack.

While Kuwait’s military intercepted incoming threats and Bahrain activated warning sirens following explosions near Qeshm Island, US President Donald Trump dismissed reports that negotiations with Iran to end the war have stalled, stating on social media that conversations have been continuous.

Meanwhile, despite President Trump’s recent announcement that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to halt planned strikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs in exchange for Hezbollah stopping attacks on Israel, Israel’s deadly bombing campaign in southern Lebanon continues.

According to Lebanon’s Health Ministry, Israeli attacks have killed at least 3,468 people and injured 10,577 in the country since March 2.
