KATHMANDU: Businessman Shankar Agrawal has been arrested.
The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) arrested Agrawal, who was absconding in a banking offense case, from Dillibazar on Wednesday.
Agrawal, a resident of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-4, had been absconding since the date of the verdict in a case under the Banking Offence and Punishment Act, 2008, in which his son Sulav Agrawal and Deepak Bhatta are also defendants.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police Anupam Shamsher Rana, spokesperson for the Bureau, he has been presented before the High Court Patan for necessary legal action.
