KATHMANDU: The National Gen Z Citizen Campaign has accused police of mistreating activists arrested near the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu while peacefully distributing pamphlets asserting Lipulekh, Kalapani, and Limpiyadhura as Nepali territories.
The campaign alleges that former Home Minister and MP Sudhan Gurung later entered the Lainchaur police custody with a group to mentally pressure and threaten the detainees, warning them to stop speaking against the government.
Furthermore, the group claimed their human rights were violated as they were denied adequate food and water during their 24-hour detention.
The campaign has demanded an impartial investigation into the political interference and mistreatment.
