KATHMANDU: Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Dol Prasad Aryal, and Chair of the National Assembly (NA) Narayan Prasad Dahal visited the proposed dry port area in Dodhara-Chandani municipality in Kanchanpur.

The two who arrived here to participate in the High-level Inter-Legislative Conference visited the site today. The proposed facility is expected to contribute to the country’s economic development once it comes into operation.

Deputy Speaker Rubi Kumari Thakur and NA Vice- Chair Lila Kumari Bhandari also visited the site along with them.

According to the Speaker’s Private Secretariat, the Speaker also visited the Bhakkeni Dham, Brhamadev and Tanakpur area, the sites of religious, touristic and economic importance.

The Speaker and NA Chair also reached Mahendranagar Airport and Shuklaphanta Wildlife Reserve.

On the occasion, they interacted with stakeholders concerned regarding the upgrading of airport with service expansions.
