KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan University (TU) honored 185 faculty and staff members for completing 25 years of uninterrupted service during a ceremony organized on Wednesday to mark the university’s 67th anniversary.

The recipients included 142 faculty members and 43 administrative staff, who were presented with Long Service Medals and letters of appreciation in recognition of their contributions.

Addressing the anniversary ceremony, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bhola Thapa pledged to strengthen academic excellence, improve governance, reduce administrative centralization, and modernize university services. University officials also highlighted progress in implementing the academic calendar, upgrading infrastructure, and revising curricula to better meet changing educational needs.

The university also presented its annual awards, including the Outstanding Grant Award to Associate Professor Dr. Hari Prasad Sharma and Assistant Professor Dr. Binod Ghimire.
