GORKHA: A free cataract corrective surgery camp held at Arughat Basic Hospital in Gorkha successfully restored vision in 85 individuals.

The initiative was supported by the Arughat Rural Municipality, Himalayan Eye Hospital Pokhara, Gorkha Lions Eye Service Centre, and Eyecare.

Over two days, a team of medical professionals, led by ophthalmologist Dr. Krishna Gurung, conducted eye examinations and surgeries for attendees.

The rural municipality highlighted the camp’s significance in delivering quality eye care to residents in impoverished and remote areas, emphasizing its role in improving access to essential health services.
