KATHMANDU: Today (Wednesday), weather conditions across various parts of the country are expected to range from partly cloudy to rainy.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, skies will be generally cloudy this afternoon in the hilly and mountainous terrains of the country, including Koshi Province, while the Terai plains will remain partly cloudy.

Furthermore, there is a possibility of moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in some places within Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as a few locations in Madhesh Province and the hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces.

Isolated showers are also possible in one or two spots of the Sudurpashchim Terai.

Meanwhile, the division has noted that a few areas in the Terai plains of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces are likely to experience a particularly hot day.

Tonight, skies are expected to remain generally cloudy across the entire country.

The division has forecast moderate rain with thunder and lightning for some parts of both the hilly and Terai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Madhesh provinces.

Additionally, rainfall is likely in a few places across the mountainous regions of all provinces, including Karnali, as well as the hilly areas of Sudurpashchim Province, and in one or two locations within the Sudurpashchim Terai plains.
