KATHMANDU: Police have arrested 16 individuals from various parts of Nepal on charges related to illegal drugs.
According to the Central Police News Desk, the arrests were made in multiple districts: three people in Sunsari; two each in Chitwan, Bardiya, Banke, Udayapur, and Kathmandu; and one each in Jumla, Morang, and Lalitpur.
Police seized various narcotic substances from those arrested, including opium, brown heroin, and marijuana, as well as prescription-controlled medicines such as Tramadol, Nitravet, and Spaspen, which can only be purchased with a doctor’s recommendation or prescription.
Further investigation into the cases is underway.
