KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has detained Tirtha Raj Aryal, Director General of the Department of Passports, as part of an investigation into a passport procurement case.

Similarly, businessman Siddhartha Thapa and another individual have also been taken into custody for questioning. Further investigation is underway.
