TANAHUN: Bhanu Municipality has distributed nutritional food packages to 88 pregnant women in an effort to improve maternal health and nutrition.

The support was provided on Thursday under the Social Development Program with financial assistance from Sanima Bank as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative. The distribution covered pregnant women from Wards 1 to 6 of the municipality.

According to Municipal Health Section Chief Aishwarya Chandra Bhattarai, the program aims to address nutritional gaps during pregnancy and improve access to essential food support for expectant mothers.

Mayor Ananda Raj Tripathi said the initiative reflects the municipality’s priority on health and nutrition, adding that continued investment in such programs is essential for building a healthy community.
