RUPANDEHI: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Khadak Raj Paudel, said the Gauam Buddha International Airport will come into operation.
At a programme in Bhairahawa Rupandehi on Friday, he shared the government’s preparation to that end.
Minister Paudel however ruled out a rumour that the airport operation has been stagnated due to political or diplomatic reasons.
He took the opportunity to pinpoint policy lacunas as the fundamental reason behind and that groundwork is being done to mend them.
“There is a system in place where work permits can be accessed from home. You do not need to go Kathmandu for this now.” he added.
The minister also spoke the importance of promotional programmes to attract tourists (passengers) besides merely taking only Nepali workers abroad and bringing them back home.
He also pitched for the construction of Nijgadh Airport in future.
