CHITWAN: The closed-door session under the general convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is taking place today.
Following its inauguration on Sunday at the Guest House Ground in Bharatpur, Chitwan, the closed-door session is scheduled to begin at 8:30 AM today at the Exhibition Center.
Party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane will inaugurate the session, which features a schedule dedicated to discussing and endorsing various important reports, as well as initiating the election process.
During the closed-door session, Chairman Lamichhane is scheduled to present the party’s political report.
Additionally, Ramakanta Rimal will present the Disciplinary Commission’s report, while Treasurer Lima Adhikari will present the financial report.
General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti is set to table the organizational report, and discussions alongside the endorsement of the party’s constitution will take place under the leadership of the Joint General Secretary.
The RSP plans to push forward its election program parallel to the closed-door session.
Once Chairman Lamichhane’s political report is discussed and endorsed, the formation of an Interim Management Committee will be announced and handed over to the Election Commission.
Following this, the Election Commission will publish the official schedule and guidelines for the voting process.
The general convention will conclude on Tuesday after electing the party’s new executive committee.
