TANAHUN: A tipper driver died after a road accident near Gumba in Ward No. 4 of Bandipur Rural Municipality.

The deceased has been identified as Chunu Shrestha, a 36-year-old resident of Byas Municipality, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Dwarika Prasad Ghimire.

Police said the accident occurred when the driver lost control of the speeding tipper truck (registration number G1K 5466), causing it to crash.

Shrestha sustained serious injuries in the accident and was rushed to Nepali Army Hospital Pokhara for treatment. He later died during treatment on Monday.
