KATHMANDU: The Kedia Group, in partnership with the Nepal Volleyball Association, has announced the first edition of the franchise-based Men’s Nepal Volleyball League, scheduled for August 20–28.

Six teams were unveiled on Thursday—Annapurna Spiker Kings, Karnali Shivraj, Kathmandu Reds, Khaptad Falcons, Madhesh Warriors, and Sagarmatha Smashers—with the option to add two more.

Under the slogan “A New Flight of Height,” the initiative aims to professionalize the sport.

As part of the agreement, the Kedia Group will provide Rs 3.5 million annually to the association, while the NVA handles technical support.
