KATHMANDU: At least four celebrities from Nepal’s arts, entertainment, and beauty sectors have been elected to the central committee of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) following the announcement of the final election results.

Film director Asim Shah, lawmaker, actress, and television host Rima Bishwokarma, comedian Himesh Panta, and former Miss Nepal and lawmaker Anushka Shrestha secured seats on the party’s central committee.

Shrestha was elected under the indigenous nationalities category, while the others won through open competition.

The election for party office bearers is scheduled for Friday, the final day of the RSP general convention.
