BIRATNAGAR: Anil Thapa of Barahakshetra Municipality-2, Sunsari has been appointed as a member of the Koshi Province Planning Commission.

The Koshi Province Government’s Council of Ministers meeting held today decided to appoint Thapa to the post, according to the Minister for Drinking Water, Irrigation and Energy, Tilchan Pathak.

The cabinet meeting approved the Bill designed to amend the Provincial Economic Procedures and Fiscal Responsibility Act, 2021.

Minister Pathak also said that a decision has been to continue the remuneration of the personal secretaries of the Provincial Assembly members from the date of suspension. In addition, the Bill designed to replace the Provincial Sports First Amendment Ordinance, 2026 has been approved.
