CHITWAN: Just a day after being cleared for traffic, the vital Muglin–Narayangadh road section has been shut down once again following a fresh landslide at Jalbire.
According to local police, the latest debris fall has completely blocked the highway in both directions, leaving thousands of passengers stranded.
Clearing operations have faced delays as dozers and excavators are yet to arrive at the site.
This disruption comes less than 24 hours after the highway was briefly blocked on Wednesday morning by a dry landslide at Tuin Khola.
While the Road Division Bharatpur had successfully reopened the road by 11:15 AM yesterday—issuing warnings for drivers to remain vigilant—the threat of further landslides has materialized at Jalbire, halting vehicular movement along the critical transit artery once again.
