KATHMANDU: The player auction for the third edition of the Siddhartha Bank Nepal Premier League (NPL) is taking place today. According to the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), each franchise team will be allowed to sign two additional Nepali players through this auction.

Out of a total of 347 players from across the country who initially registered for the auction, only 155 players have been included in the final shortlist after completing the necessary screening process. Among these, 52 players will get the opportunity to be signed by various franchise teams.

CAN has categorized the shortlisted players into three distinct groups. Accordingly, Category ‘A’ includes 5 players, Category ‘B’ consists of 27 players, and Category ‘C’ features 123 players.
