KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives under the Federal Parliament is scheduled to be held today.
The meeting, which will commence at 11:00 AM, has an agenda ranging from the presentation of annual reports to proposals for discussions on various bills.
During the meeting, the Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, Sobita Gautam, on behalf of Prime Minister Balendra Shah, is scheduled to table two important annual reports.
Minister Gautam will present the Annual Report of the Attorney General and the 35th Annual Report of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) before the House.
Under legislative business, various new bills will be registered and put forward for discussion in the House today.
Law Minister Sobita Gautam will present a proposal seeking permission to introduce the National Cadet Corps Bill, 2026, and will subsequently table the bill in the House.
Additionally, she will also present a proposal considering the Bill to Revive the Former Provisions of the Nepal Special Service Act.
Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle has an agenda to present a proposal to send the Nepal Rastra Bank (Third Amendment) Bill, 2026 to the respective committee for clause-by-clause discussion.
Similarly, Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Khadak Raj Paudel, will present a proposal to send the Tourism Bill, 2025, which originated in the National Assembly, to the concerned committee for clause-by-clause discussion.
