KATHMANDU: The Parliamentary Hearing Committee has issued a 10-day window for the public to submit complaints or feedback regarding the nominees for the Election Commission’s top posts.
During a meeting at Singha Durbar on Thursday, the committee launched the hearing process for Chief Commissioner nominee Man Bahadur Karki and Commissioner nominees Rajib Subba and Guru Prasad Wagle, who were recommended by the Constitutional Council on July 3.
Committee Chairperson Bodh Narayan Shrestha announced that all received complaints will be reviewed during the next scheduled meeting on July 20, while assuring opposition lawmakers that the hearings will follow strict, unhurried parliamentary procedures.
