PPMO blacklists eight construction companies and suppliers

KATHMANDU: The Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO) has placed eight construction companies and suppliers on its blacklist.

Issuing a public notice on Friday, the office announced that the action was taken under Section 63, Subsection (1) of the Public Procurement Act, 2006, based on the formal recommendations of various public entities.

According to the PPMO, the restrictions take effect immediately from the date of the notice’s publication.

Under current regulations, the blacklisted firms and suppliers will be strictly barred from participating in any competitive bidding or procurement processes initiated by any government or public body for the duration of their specified penalty periods.

The monitoring office has also released the detailed profiles of the sanctioned firms alongside the notice.
