KATHMANDU: The government is set to launch a new passport distribution system on July 13 to make the service more accessible, streamlined, and efficient.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Lok Bahadur Paudel Chhetri announced that system preparations are nearly complete, noting that while minor initial technical glitches may occur, the service will remain steady and regular.

To improve citizen-friendly delivery, an agreement has been signed with the Department of Postal Services for faster dispatch, and work is underway to allow citizens to apply for passports from any nearby district or area administration office, regardless of their official residency.
