MUGU: A three-year-old child died after being trapped under a rock-laden landslide in Pulu Bazaar, Karmarong Rural Municipality-5, Mugu district, on Saturday morning.

Rescued by police and local residents, he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at a nearby health post.

His parents, who operate a hotel in a rented house that was completely destroyed in the incident, sustained minor injuries.

The landslide has put eight other nearby houses at high risk, prompting authorities to relocate affected families, while additional police teams have been dispatched from district headquarters to assist with safety and investigation efforts.
