KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu District Court has ordered the release of businessman Shekhar Golcha on bail.

A single bench of Judge Pratima Kumari Bhattarai Pokharel issued the order on Tuesday to release Golcha after setting separate bail amounts for two distinct offenses.

The bail has been set at Rs 7.5 million for an offense related to insurance and Rs 2.5 million for an offense related to securities.

He was taken into custody by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the Nepal Police on April 23.
