KATHMANDU: Traffic movement along the Narayangadh-Muglin road has been suspended for the night.

Issuing a notice, the District Administration Office, Chitwan, stated that all types of vehicles are prohibited from operating from 8:00 PM tonight until 5:00 AM on Wednesday.

The decision to halt nighttime vehicular movement was made to prevent potential human risks, as a dry landslide occurred near Muglin Bazaar towards Narayangadh, and debris continues to fall intermittently.

Earlier in the day, traffic was resumed after clearing the debris three times. This marks the first time a landslide has occurred at this specific location, situated 700 meters from Muglin towards Narayangadh at Khahare Bridge, where a dry landslide consisting of rocks and soil has been continuously falling from about 40 meters above.
