Indefinite curfew imposed in sensitive areas of Sunsari

SUNSARI: The District Administration Office, Sunsari, has issued an indefinite curfew order in areas designated as highly sensitive within the district.

According to a notice signed by Chief District Officer Ishwari Prasad Aryal, the curfew comes into effect today at 3:30 PM and will remain in place until further notice.

The administration stated that the curfew order was issued pursuant to Section 6(A) of the Local Administration Act, covering designated boundaries along the Mahendra Highway and the Inaruwa market area within Sunsari district.

According to the notice, the curfew applies to the following boundaries: Pakali Chowk to the east, the Koshi Barrage bridge to the west, and 200 meters to the north and south of the Mahendra Highway.

During the curfew period, movement within the specified areas is strictly prohibited.

Furthermore, the District Administration Office, Sunsari, announced a complete ban on any form of gathering, rally, demonstration, assembly, meeting, or picketing.

The administration has appealed to the general public to fully comply with this order and cooperate in maintaining peace and security.
