Police on Thursday arrested 15 persons allegedly involved in gambling in Gurbhakot Municipality-9, Surkhet district.

The arrestees include Bhanu Kadel (29) of the same municipality in the district.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of joint security personnel deployed from Mehalkuna-based Police Office and Botechaur-based Temporary Police Post reached Rato Bhale cottage-based at Botechaur and apprehended the gamblers. The police also seized Rs 233,734 and one deck of cards from their possession.

Further investigation into the case is underway, informed police.
