Police on Sunday arrested two persons in possession of three kg of medicinal herb ‘Yarsagumba‘ (Caterpillar Fungus) in Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-6, Sunsari district.

The arrested has been identified as Samir Gurung (27) of Rawabesi Rural Municipality-4, Khotang district while the name of another one hasn’t been revealed.

After knowing that they were trading the yarsagumba, a team deployed from the Itahari-based Area Police Office nabbed them from Jai Nepal Hotel in Itahari-6. The police also seized the yarsagumba from them.

The arrested duo have been hand over to Tarahara Sub Division Forest Office for necessary actions, informed the police.
