A man has been arrested on an attempted rape charge in Nokailwa, Brahmapuri rural municipality-7 of the Sarlahi district of southeastern Nepal recently.

The suspect is Shyam Sundar Yadav (38), a local, accused of trying to rape a local woman on October 22, informs DSP Madhav Prasad Budhathoki of the District Police Office.

The District Court has remanded him in custody for five days and further investigation is underway, according to police.
