Sagar Guvaju of Nepal has won the gold medal in the Sunshine Coast Open Taekwondo Championship held in Australia. He won the gold for Gyrogi.

 In the men’s 74 kg final, Sagar defeated Australia’s Jane Mansfield by a wide margin in the second round to turn the result in his favor.

Sagar, who came to Australia for studies only last month, is also a player of the national team. He used to play for the departmental team Tribhuvan Army.
