KATHMANDU: Five people have lost their lives and 127 others were injured in various traffic accidents across Nepal over a 24-hour period, according to official data released by Nepal Police.
The infographic provided in the file 1010.jpeg reveals that Koshi Province suffered two fatalities and 28 injuries, while Lumbini Province also recorded two fatalities along with nine injuries.
Madhesh Province reported one fatality and the highest number of individual injuries with 43 people hurt.
Meanwhile, the separate sector of Kathmandu Valley recorded zero fatalities but 25 injuries, and Bagmati Province, excluding the valley, saw 14 injuries with no deaths.
Sudurpashchim Province registered seven injuries, Karnali Province recorded a single injury, and Gandaki Province remained entirely unaffected with zero accidents, injuries, or fatalities reported during this timeframe.
In total, the nationwide traffic toll for the 24-hour window concluded with five deaths and 127 injuries across the country.
