CPN (UML)’s Raju Prasad Shrestha won the Province Assembly (1) from Palpa constituency 1. He received 17,642 votes while his closest competitor Nepali Congress’s Shyam Kanta Khanal 12,252. Out of the total 58,491 votes cast, 546 were invalid, said the election officer Gopal Prasad Dhakal.
