For the first time in Nepal’s parliamentary history, Kiran Shah, an independent MP from Rautahat 2, who took the oath in Sanskrit language, has entered the UML. Chairman of CPN-UML KP Sharma Oli welcomed Shah to UML at his residence in Balokat.

Independent parliaments are allowed to choose a party once during the term of the parliament.
