21% salary hike for civil servants, minimum pay set at Rs 40,000

KATHMANDU: The government has announced a 21 percent salary increase for civil servants, security personnel, and public school teachers in the federal budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle said the revised pay structure sets the minimum monthly salary at Rs 40,000, while top-level positions will now exceed Rs 100,000.

The new salary scale will come into effect from mid-July.
