KAILALI:  For the last few days, farmers from Kailali have been worried after their crops got destroyed because of weather change.

Farmers are worried that weather will destroy the crops such as wheat, lentils and more during the time of harvesting them from the field.

Mahabir Chaudhary from Kailari Rural Municipality-7 of Kailali have farmed wheat in two bighas of field and Lentils in one bigha. It was time for wheat in the field to be brought in, while the lentils were somewhat ripe and somewhere in the flowering stage.

He said that as the weather is changing rapidly these days, there is a kind of worry in his heart that the crops will be damaged due to the rain. “A few days back the rain along with the storm has caused harm to the wheat and lentils on the field.” He added “It is happening again, I am worried as the weather has not been constant”

Local farmer Nandaram Saundel said that with the sudden sunshine at times and clouds bringing rain at times it has increased the chances of wheat getting destroyed. The weather is not constant, sometimes it rains and the next moment it storms, so they fear that crops might get damaged.

Due to the sudden change in weather conditions since the past few days farmers have been worried. Farmers are struggling to save and harvest the crops as the weather is unstable. They fear that, unseasonal rain and strom, might cause wheat to collapse, break and damage.
