KATHMANDU: The Office of the Problematic Cooperative Management Committee under the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation has made public the names of debtors of four troubled cooperative institutions.
Issuing a notice on Monday, the committee made public the list of debtors of Ghedung Multipurpose Cooperative Ltd., Tapai Hamro Multipurpose Cooperative Ltd., Nagarik Kalyan Multipurpose Cooperative Ltd., and Ideal Yamuna Multipurpose Cooperative Ltd., which were declared troubled by the government on April 1, 2024.
According to the latest decision of the committee, the list has been made public based on the available loan details. The committee has urged debtors who have already repaid their loans in the past but have their names included in the list to present themselves at the office with evidence.
Similarly, debtors who have not yet repaid their loans have been instructed to contact the committee’s office in Buddhanagar as soon as possible and clear their dues.
The notice issued by the committee states that if the loan is not repaid within the specified time, it will be recovered by taking strict legal action in accordance with the law.
