KATHMANDU: On the first trading day of the week, today (Monday), the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has increased by double digits. The trading volume has also increased on this day.
The NEPSE increased by 27.85 points on Monday. Increasing by 1 percent compared to the previous trading day, NEPSE stopped at 2786.35 points.
On this day, the sensitive index also increased by 3.85 points and stopped at 475.74 points. On a percentage basis, this is 0.81 percent higher compared to the previous trading day. Similarly, the float index increased by 0.98 percent and the sensitive float index increased by 0.81 percent.
In the stock market on Monday, at least 14,540,022 shares of 342 companies were bought and sold in 74,856 transactions. According to this, a turnover of Rs 5.986 billion took place on Monday.

The share prices of 235 companies increased in the stock market today. While the share prices of 28 companies went down, the share prices of seven companies remained stable. Out of the 13 groups traded on NEPSE today, the index of the Mutual Fund group decreased, while the indices of the remaining 12 groups turned green.
According to this, on Monday, the sub-indices of Commercial Bank increased by 0.85 percent, Development Bank by 0.69 percent, Finance by 0.57 percent, Hotels and Tourism by 1.02 percent, Hydropower by 1.50 percent, Investment by 0.74 percent, Life Insurance by 0.64 percent, Manufacturing and Processing by 1.35 percent, and the Microfinance group by 0.99 percent. The mutual fund decreased by 0.20 percent. Similarly, non-life insurance increased by 0.95 percent, others by 1.23 percent, and the trading group sub-index increased by 0.32 percent.
On NEPSE on Monday, investors of Three Star Hydropower earned 9.01 percent. Similarly, investors of Upper Bunggal Hydro lost 10.23 percent in share price.
In terms of trading volume as well, Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company remained at the forefront. Today, a turnover of Rs 602 million took place for Ankhu Khola.
Similarly, based on the number of shares traded, Ankhu Khola itself remained ahead. On Monday, at least 1,451,995 units of its shares were bought and sold. Its final trading price, meanwhile, was maintained at Rs 418 per share.
